Kress -- A charming tale (and tail) of living in Italy with an American Eskimo pup : This was a delightful book told from the point of view of Dino, the pup who goes with his family to live in Italy. The book is filled with food, friends and adventures. Dino describes the family's early days in Italy, with his predecessor and then introduces himself when he joins the family. Dino is a wonderful narrator even if he sometimes disagrees with his Mom about the meaning of events; like why he didn't get enough pizza. It's such a fun read and you feel as if you've taken a trip to the beautiful Italian countryside with its magic and bureaucratic frustrations. I would recommend reading if you want to get away for a few hour’s from the hectic, unpleasant realty’s we’re facing day to day. Makes great light hearted reading for youngsters to adult. His interactions with “Mom” (who herself has solid views on life) are unfailingly comical and insightful, as are the occasions when he waxes poetic or muses about the intricacies of the English language.
